This Niel van Heerden frame lock folder is a clean, minimalist titanium folder handcrafted in South Africa. The certificate that comes with it confirms it was built by hand by Niel van Heerden, and the blade is engraved with his signature and “South Africa”.

The 85 mm blade is M390, a premium powder-metallurgy stainless steel known for excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. It is hardened to 60 HRC and finished in a satin grind that shows off the drop-point profile. The handle is a single 6Al4V titanium frame with no separate scales or bolsters, sandblasted for a uniform matte finish that hides pocket wear. A matching sandblasted 6Al4V titanium pocket clip sits flush against the frame.

The action runs on ceramic caged bearings for smooth, low-friction deployment, and the integral frame lock gives a solid, secure lockup. At 205 mm overall it is a full-size everyday carry folder without any excess in its lines.
